\u00a0<\/span>As a spirit creature, the Devil lives in an invisible realm. However, this is not in a fiery hell where he makes the wicked suffer<\/a>, as is depicted in the artwork accompanying this article.<\/p>

\u201cWar in heaven\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>

\u00a0<\/span>For a time, Satan the Devil moved about in the spirit realm at will, including entering directly before God alongside the faithful angels. (Job\u00a01:6<\/a>) But the Bible foretold that there would be a \u201cwar in heaven\u201d that would result in Satan\u2019s being expelled from heaven and \u201ccast out into the earth.\u201d (Revelation 12:7-9<\/a>, King James Version<\/em>) Both Bible chronology and world events confirm that this war in heaven has already taken place. The Devil is now confined to the vicinity of the earth.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/span>Does this mean that the Devil lives in a specific place on our planet? For example, the ancient city of Pergamum was said to be \u201cwhere the throne of Satan is\u201d and \u201cwhere Satan is dwelling.\u201d (Revelation 2:13<\/a>) Actually, these expressions likely refer to the concentration of satanic worship in that city.
